Meaning launched its new website today, with greater interactivity and participation at the heart of it, along with a fresh new look, improved navigation and even more content for visitors to browse. For the first time, visitors can now sign up and participate in discussions. Signing up will also give them access to exclusive content on the site.
“For a while, people have been asking me if I had a blog,” comments Tim Macer, “and it got me thinking that a blog would be a good way to stimulate some discussion and comment not just from me, but from the many people that share my interest in research technology.”
The site has been implemented using the WordPress content management system, with a range of custom extensions, several developed in house by meaning, to facilitate multiple blog streams and enhanced site navigation. You can read more about the site and the work behind it in this entry in Tim Macer’s blog.
